ICAR-Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (IASRI), Pusa, New Delhi is a premier research institute engaged in research and human resource development in frontier areas of Statistics, Computer Applications and Bioinformatics. This training aims to familiarize the participants with Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in agriculture. Data science combines Math and Statistics, Specialized Programming, Advanced Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning with specific subject matter expertise to uncover actionable insights hidden in an organization’s data. Data science continues to evolve as one of the most promising promising approaches in the agricultural sector for harnessing data-driven insights to improve productivity, sustainability, and decision-making.

ICAR-Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (IASRI) is organizing twelve days training programme on “Data Science in Agriculture” from September 04 – 15, 2023, through online mode on a Blended Learning Platform (BLP). The training will be organized for the research personnel of State Agricultural Universities, ICAR Institutes, and Central Universities. This training programme is designed to help researchers to have a fundamental understanding of Data Science and basic concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques. The programme will also cover key concepts of Mathematics, Statistics, Computer
Vision used in Data Science, and open-source data analysis and visualization tools. The participants will have Vision hands-on experience and practice using Python to solve data science challenges. This training will empower researchers to apply techniques from Data Science in their respective domains.
